In a major development during Operation Bunyān Marṣūs, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) delivered a crushing blow to the Indian Air Force, resulting in the destruction of multiple Indian fighter jets in various regions. The details of the incidents, including the whereabouts of the destroyed aircraft and the fate of the pilots, have now been revealed.
Security sources have confirmed that one Indian aircraft was destroyed in the Anantnag area, with reports indicating that its pilot may have been killed. The ejection seat of the aircraft was reportedly found in the nearby area of Gadol Kokernag.
Another Indian aircraft was destroyed in the Pampore or Pulwama region, with both pilots severely injured and transferred to a hospital in Srinagar. A third aircraft was downed in the Pantheyal/Ramsu area, District Ramban. The pilot of this aircraft, Flying Officer Iqbal Singh, was injured and subsequently taken to the Army hospital in Udhampur.
Additionally, a fourth Indian aircraft was destroyed in agricultural fields in Bharda Kalan, Akhnoor Tehsil. Both pilots ejected and sustained injuries, leading to their transport to a military hospital in Akhnoor. Another Indian aircraft was downed near Bhathinda, while an Indian Heron Remote Piloted Vehicle (RPV) was shot down 13 nautical miles east of Jammu city.
Defense experts have indicated that this series of incidents represents a severe blow to the Indian Air Force, marking the failure of their aviation strategy during Operation Ma’rakah Marṣūs. The swift destruction of Indian fighter jets has raised significant questions about their military tactics and preparedness.
