Our own voices are not heard,Allama Raja Nasir Abbas

Islamabad:
Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has stated that Pakistan is a country where, in his opinion, the voices of its own people are not heard, and instead, the words of outsiders, often Westerners, carry more weight.

He emphasized that Pakistan’s people have been on the streets for the past two to three years, yet, unfortunately, the voices of the locals continue to go unheard.

Speaking on Express News‘ program Kal Tak, he said, “I believe the rulers and those in power in Pakistan must understand that without the support of the people, they hold no significance. Pakistan is currently in a dire state, and public trust in our system has eroded.”

Muslim League (N) leader Khel Das remarked, “Tell me, is this the only individual who has gone to jail? Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif spent a significant amount of time in jail, as did former President Asif Zardari for several years. In the past, Bhutto also faced imprisonment. Former Prime Ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former ministers Ahsan Iqbal, and Saad Rafique have also been jailed. Did you ever hear such interference in Pakistan’s internal matters during those times?”

He added, “Imran Khan is just an excuse; our nuclear assets are the real target. This has now become blatantly clear, something we have always highlighted.”

PTI leader Falak Naz commented, “The government has played with the Constitution and the courts. They came into power through Form 47. Their Prime Minister himself is a defeated candidate, the Chief Minister of Punjab is defeated, and even Nawaz Sharif is a defeated leader. They are ruling by stealing our mandate with only 17 seats.”

She further said, “Despite being in power, look at how they talk. I say, government officials should speak appropriately. The opposition has every right to protest within their democratic and constitutional limits.”

She also accused the government of perpetuating oppression, brutality, and fascism. “This government lacks the support of the people, and they cannot even approach the public.”
