Prominent Islamic scholar and Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti Taqi Usmani, has declared that the decisive success achieved in Operation Bunyān Mursūs has brought renewed hope and joy to Muslims who had long been disheartened.
Addressing the Bunyān Mursūs Conference organized by the Markazi Muslim League in Karachi near the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, Mufti Usmani said, “We stood firmly behind the Pakistan Armed Forces, and we will continue to support them. Today, we are gathered here to express our gratitude for this monumental victory.”
He emphasized that for years Muslims had been yearning for news of triumph and justice. “Today, the entire Pakistani nation and the broader Muslim Ummah are filled with pride and joy,” he added.
Praising the Pakistan military, he stated, “Our forces have proven their superiority to the world. This nation is invincible. We achieved a historic victory against an army five times our size.”
He contrasted India’s military operation, dubbed “Operation Sindoor”—a term he called symbolic of femininity—with Pakistan’s Bunyān Mursūs, which he described as a demonstration of strategic strength and military precision. “Pakistan targeted enemy military installations, not civilian populations,” he asserted.
Recalling the 1965 war, he said, “We defeated a cowardly enemy then, and we have emerged victorious again today. This victory is a blessing of Allah, and we respond with gratitude, not arrogance.”
Mufti Usmani declared the day as one of national and spiritual renewal. “We vow to reshape this country in accordance with Islamic principles, to serve it with our lives and resources, and to eliminate corruption and bribery,” he pledged.
The event was also addressed by Sindh President of the Markazi Muslim League Faisal Nadeem, renowned cleric Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, and other religious leaders, who echoed similar sentiments of triumph, gratitude, and national resolve.
