ISLAMABAD( The COW News Digital) Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader and Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has said that it is not surprising that the children of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder will not be visiting Pakistan. Speaking to the media on Saturday, he remarked that the children had not visited the country even when their father served as prime minister, and in the current circumstances, their absence is understandable.

“They didn’t come even during the four years when their father was in office, not even for his oath-taking ceremony,” Rana Sanaullah stated. “If they apply for a visa now, the government will issue it,” he added, clarifying that there was no restriction on their travel.

The adviser’s comments come amid ongoing political tensions in the country and speculation about the PTI founder’s family staying abroad. His remarks suggest the government is not seeking to block their entry but sees no reason to expect their arrival under current conditions.

Addressing a separate matter, Rana Sanaullah urged the media and public not to interpret the recent meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as having any political undertones. He explained that Bilawal’s visit was purely to offer condolences, and that in such gatherings, general political discussions often take place without any formal agenda.

Touching upon the coalition government’s direction, Rana Sanaullah expressed confidence in its political awareness and decision-making. He assured that the ruling alliance is committed to addressing public issues with “serious and practical” steps over the next two to three years.

The remarks come at a time when Pakistan’s political climate remains charged, with opposition criticism, economic pressures, and governance challenges dominating headlines. While his statement on the PTI founder’s children is likely to stir further debate, his emphasis on coalition stability and forward planning reflects the government’s attempt to project control and confidence.

For now, Rana Sanaullah’s position appears clear: the absence of the PTI founder’s children is neither new nor alarming, and political speculation over unrelated meetings should be avoided. Whether the public will accept these explanations remains to be seen as Pakistan’s political narrative continues to evolve.
