Karachi is bracing itself for another hot day with clear skies and bright sunshine, as the Met Department rules out any chance of rain in the city. While light to moderate rain may occur in the suburbs, the city itself will remain dry.
The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to hover between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, with a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius recorded earlier. Sea breezes are blowing at a mild speed of 11 kilometers per hour, providing some relief from the heat.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz has confirmed that Karachi is unlikely to see rain today, citing a decrease in the intensity of monsoon winds. Light to moderate rainfall might occur in the suburbs surrounding Karachi, but the city will remain dry for the time being.
In other parts of Sindh, light rains have been reported in Badin, Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, Sanghar, and Larkana, with heavy showers in Tharparkar. However, the rain system has not advanced enough to affect Karachi, and the monsoon winds have lost much of their strength.
