Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the leader of the Awam Pakistan Party, addressed the media and expressed concerns about the water distribution issue in Sindh, stating that the people of Sindh are worried about the matter of six canals. He emphasized that no province can take water from another province.
The former Prime Minister further stated that discussions between the government and opposition should take place within Parliament, as no one seems to care about the people and the country. He remarked that today, every Pakistani is worried, and if there is division in the country, there will be foreign interference. He criticized the current rulers for focusing solely on their own interests.
Abbasi also mentioned that where there is no justice, the system cannot function. He said that he left power not for personal gains but for the sake of principle. He explained that when the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) emphasized “respect for the vote” in power, he chose to part ways with the party.
The former Prime Minister added that although three parties are in power, with manifestos available to all, none of them are delivering. He said they are talking about solving problems, but despite having the opportunity, they have done nothing.
Abbasi concluded by saying that the founder of PTI is receiving training in jail, and every politician who goes to jail undergoes good training.
