Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that no one has the right to expel the people of Gaza from their land. He criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent proposal to take control of Gaza, calling it “completely absurd” and “futile.”
Erdoğan emphasized that the people of Gaza will remain in Gaza and will protect their land. He dismissed any discussions on Trump’s plan, stating there is no point in debating it since it lacks any merit.
Recently, President Trump announced that the United States would take control of the Gaza Strip, with the goal of bringing stability to the region and creating thousands of jobs. Trump had expressed his vision of a long-term U.S. presence in Gaza, promising development, job opportunities for the locals, and new settlements for citizens.
Trump’s proposal was met with strong opposition from the United Nations and many countries, who rejected the idea of forcibly expelling Palestinians from Gaza and reiterated support for a two-state solution.
