No Obstruction from President Zardari on Madrassa Bill:Governor Punjab

Chakwal:Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider, clarified that no obstruction was placed by President Asif Ali Zardari regarding the Madrassa Registration Bill. He mentioned that various suggestions from different religious scholars are still under consideration.

Speaking to the media in Chakwal, Sardar Saleem Haider stated that the aim is to bring all religious scholars, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, from various schools of thought onto one platform for the bill. He emphasized the importance of crafting a consensus-based bill that all madrassas would willingly accept for registration.

The Governor also commented on local government elections, noting that elections have already been held in three provinces, and it is now time for the Punjab government to announce the schedule for local elections.
