The scope of natural resource discovery in the mining sector has expanded with the facilitation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SFIC). Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) plays a key role in the development of these resources, contributing to the country’s economic stability.
With government support, OGDCL continues to work on the country’s largest exploration projects. Significant gas reserves have been discovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by OGDCL.
The discovered reserves are expected to produce up to 2.14 million cubic feet of gas daily. This discovery could boost the country’s energy self-sufficiency and help alleviate the ongoing energy crisis.
With SFIC’s support, progress in the mining sector continues, and prospects for further reserves exploration remain promising.
