Amid the heightened tensions between Pakistan and India, renowned American YouTuber Drew Binsky has expressed amazement at the courage and hospitality of the Pakistani people. In a video shared during the ongoing crisis, Binsky said he not only feels safe in Pakistan but is genuinely touched by the peaceful demeanor and generosity of its citizens.
“I’m currently in Pakistan, near the Kashmir region, and I feel completely secure,” Binsky shared in his latest vlog, recorded from northern Pakistan. “Despite everything happening, people are calm, stores are open, and life seems to carry on like it’s just another day.”
The travel vlogger revealed that he was initially planning to return to the United States from Islamabad, but due to India’s aggressive posturing and resulting airspace closures, he was unable to fly out. “I’m stuck here because of the ongoing tension with India, but honestly, I’m thankful. It’s given me the opportunity to explore more of this stunning country,” he said.
His footage included scenes of peaceful protests in Pakistan, where citizens were seen opposing Indian strikes without resorting to violence. Binsky said the public reaction had surprised him. “People don’t seem panicked or afraid. Their response to the situation is incredibly composed,” he noted.
Binsky also took the opportunity to criticize India’s alleged missile strikes under “Operation Sindoor,” calling them reckless and disruptive to regional stability. According to reports, India had launched 24 missiles at nine sites in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, which triggered Pakistan’s measured military response along the western border using drones and other tactical assets.
“War is not a movie. It’s real life, and people suffer. Peace is the only way forward,” Binsky urged, advocating for dialogue over conflict.
Due to flight cancellations, the YouTuber now plans to travel overland to Kabul and catch a return flight from Afghanistan. Having traveled to nearly every country in the world, Binsky emphasized that few nations have displayed the kind of collective calm and composure he has witnessed in Pakistan.
His account not only offers a powerful rebuttal to India’s aggressive rhetoric but also highlights Pakistan’s desire for peace and its refusal to compromise on dignity and sovereignty.
