Islamabad (News Desk) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Talal Chaudhry has asserted that negotiations will not be for any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) but will focus on resolving Pakistan’s issues.
Speaking in a private TV program, Chaudhry emphasized that the government has consistently extended a hand in goodwill and that negotiations should not be based on coercion or threats. He stated that the talks will be aimed at ensuring the country’s stability and eliminating terrorism, not for securing a pardon for the 190 million pounds debt waiver.
The PML-N leader also questioned how the mastermind behind the May 9 incidents could be granted amnesty, adding that seeking forgiveness for those who have caused harm to the country would be a waste of time. He urged the need to discard threats and intimidation and adopt a more political approach in dealing with such matters.
Chaudhry further criticized the PTI, stating that despite governing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 13 consecutive years, the party had failed to achieve any significant progress in the province.
