Peshawar (News Desk) – PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai has emphasized that the outcome of negotiations cannot be expected in a single day and that the government’s sincerity will be observed during the talks.

Speaking in a private TV program, Yousafzai stated that both sides are showing seriousness, with the first step being to address the country’s current situation. He mentioned that PTI is willing to sit down with the government and assess their sincerity, adding that it would take time for the negotiations to yield results, though the seriousness of the talks would be evident early on.

Yousafzai also addressed the issue of civil disobedience, stating that the movement was initiated by the PTI founder and could only be postponed by him. He stressed the importance of the rule of law and justice in the country, and remarked that while many groups hold protests in Islamabad, PTI is unfairly blamed for them.

He further criticized the registration of terrorism cases against political workers, calling it inappropriate, especially when innocent individuals are being detained. He highlighted that when people approach the courts, they should receive justice, and questioned the role of police in making arrests when courts grant bail to activists.

In addition, Yousafzai mentioned that the negotiations would address issues such as inflation, the 26th Constitutional Amendment, and the mandate theft. He expressed confidence in PTI’s committee, which he believes can engage in productive talks with the party’s founder, and that after negotiations, a visit to Adiala Jail might be arranged.

On the topic of criticism against the military, Yousafzai made it clear that PTI does not support any negative remarks about the armed forces. He stated that the military is “our army” and that any attacks on it are unacceptable. However, he added that discussions on political fascism and government actions could be held, but emphasized that such debates should remain respectful without resorting to abusive language.
