Islamabad: NADRA has decided to introduce a new facial recognition system for pensioners and senior citizens with faint fingerprints.
According to details, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) held a consultative conference where challenges related to identity verification and the steps taken by NADRA to ensure seamless services for regulators and citizens were discussed.
At the start of the conference, NADRA Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afzal provided a detailed briefing on the difficulties faced by various sectors under the identity verification system, addressing the need for innovation and improvements.
The conference also included an in-depth discussion on the challenges faced by citizens, especially pensioners and senior citizens, due to faint fingerprints during verification.
Following the discussions, NADRA authorities decided to introduce a new facial recognition system for pensioners and senior citizens with faint fingerprints, which will be launched on January 15.
