Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has emphasized his commitment to ensuring peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that the government will go to any extent to achieve this goal.
During a visit to the residence of Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Chairman of the Qaumi Watan Party, Naqvi was warmly welcomed. The two leaders discussed mutual political interests, the overall national situation, and specifically, the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Naqvi also briefed Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on the measures taken for sustainable peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the Kurram region.
In his remarks, Naqvi praised Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao as a senior and respected politician, acknowledging his significant contributions to the political landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He further stated that crucial decisions for maintaining peace, particularly in Kurram, were made during the Apex Committee meeting. “We will go to any extent to foster peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Naqvi asserted.
The Interior Minister also stressed that the Kurram Agency issue should not be politicized, calling it a highly sensitive matter that requires careful handling.
