Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman delivered a fiery address at the “Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan Conference” in Peshawar on Saturday, declaring that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s era is over and warning that Pakistan will also respond to India’s water aggression with full force.

Speaking before a charged crowd, Fazlur Rehman extended congratulations to Pakistan’s military leadership for their recent successes and said the Pakistani nation stands united in support of the Palestinian people and the sanctity of Masjid Al-Aqsa. “Today’s gathering represents not just Pakistan but the voice of the entire Muslim Ummah,” he proclaimed.

Condemning the Indian government, Fazlur Rehman said, “Modi has used Pahalgam and Kashmir for political gain and as a weapon against Muslims, but the people of Kashmir now stand with us. Modi’s time has ended — he has been disgraced and humiliated to the extent that he cannot face the world.”

He criticized India’s response following the recent escalation, noting that within minutes of the Pahalgam incident, India blamed Pakistan and filed an FIR. He also slammed India’s unilateral move to revoke the Indus Waters Treaty, declaring, “India cannot walk away from a treaty it signed. We gave them three rivers; now we will take control of all five.”

Fazlur Rehman drew parallels between India and Israel, stating both are aligned in their oppression of Muslims. “Israel is a dagger thrust into the backs of our Arab brothers,” he said. He demanded that Arab states publicly stand with Palestine and urged Pakistan’s government to officially declare its support for the Palestinians.

The JUI chief also condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza, accusing the Israeli government of war crimes, including targeting women and children. He urged the United Nations to investigate, asking, “What kind of defense includes bombing women and killing children?”

On military matters, Fazlur Rehman praised the Pakistan Air Force and Army for their performance during the recent conflict with India. He said Pakistani jets had rendered Indian aircraft useless and dismantled their offensive capabilities. “The world saw India’s destruction in real-time,” he added, warning that future aggression will be met with overwhelming retaliation. “If you fire one rocket, we will fire a hundred.”

Concluding his address, Fazlur Rehman called on all Pakistanis, especially those in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to remain ready to sacrifice for the nation. “We did not initiate aggression, but we will respond decisively. Pakistan will endure, and our defense is not just our right — it’s our duty.”
