Islamabad (News Desk): Mishaal Malik, the wife of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, has demanded that the United Nations explain the status of its commitments regarding the right to self-determination for Kashmiris. In a video message on the occasion of Kashmiris’ Right to Self-Determination Day, Mishaal Malik stated that since 1947, more than a dozen resolutions have been passed in the UN concerning the right of Kashmiris to self-determination. She expressed her concern, asking, “What happened to these promises and resolutions? Has the world’s law become blind, deaf, and mute?”

She further questioned whether Kashmiris were born only to bury their martyrs, remain imprisoned, and live under oppressive laws. Mishaal Malik asked if the United Nations had surrendered to India’s obstinacy and pointed out that history would never forgive international organizations and human rights bodies for their silence in the face of continued oppression against Kashmiris.

She asserted that history and the world would testify that Kashmiris had fought for their rights with blood, and despite the world’s silence, they continued to sacrifice. She concluded by expressing hope that, God willing, victory would be theirs in the end.
