Islamabad (News Desk): Parliamentary Secretary for Information, Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry, has defended the establishment of military courts to handle cases related to the May 9 attacks on Pakistan’s defense installations, calling them a constitutional necessity.

In a statement, Barrister Daniyal emphasized that such courts are essential to address crimes of this magnitude, which he described as direct assaults on Pakistan’s sovereignty rather than mere protests. He asserted that military courts ensure complete justice, offering fair trials, legal representation, and the right to appeal.

Highlighting what he termed the duplicity of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he referenced past instances where PTI leaders praised military courts. He accused the party of spreading misinformation and lobbying internationally to tarnish Pakistan’s legal system.

The parliamentary secretary reassured the public of the government’s unwavering commitment to justice, the rule of law, and the protection of national security. He underscored that safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and security remains the government’s top priority and will be ensured at all costs.
