Pakistani actress Maya Ali has broken her silence regarding her single status, explaining the reasons behind her decision not to marry just yet.
In a recent appearance on a special Ramadan TV show, Maya was joined by her cousins, where the host inquired about her marital status. Responding to the question, Maya revealed that her mother has a strong desire for her to get married. “My mother prays for my marriage with every prayer, but explaining to elders that I am not ready for marriage yet is quite difficult,” she said.
Maya further elaborated, stating, “The right time and the right person will come into our lives, and we may not even realize it. We talk about faith and belief, but why don’t we trust that every person has a specific time for marriage? When that time comes, everything will fall into place.”
She also shared a personal anecdote, saying that even at her brother’s wedding, she was asked why she wasn’t married yet. “I was surprised by this question. The time for marriage is destined, and when I meet the right person, I will get married.”
During the conversation, Maya expressed her preferences for her future partner, stating, “I would choose a partner who respects my mother, understands my work, and values me as a woman. If a person can give me the respect I deserve, I would have no hesitation in marrying them.”
