A man who attempted to stage a protest in front of the vehicle of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was arrested by the police but later released after investigation.

On Wednesday, as Maryam Nawaz arrived at the Government College Women University in Sialkot to attend an event, a citizen tried to run toward her convoy and protest in front of her car. Upon seeing the man heading toward the convoy, the police quickly intervened and arrested him.

The man, identified as Aftab, was holding a written petition and was seeking an opportunity to present it to the Chief Minister, pleading for justice. He could be heard shouting that he was not receiving any cooperation from the police and was desperate for justice.

According to the police, Aftab’s identity was verified, and his national identity card was taken before he was released. It was revealed that Aftab was involved in a land dispute with his relatives, which led him to attempt protesting and recording his grievance.
