A 30-year-old woman who dropped out of college has made history by becoming the youngest self-made female billionaire in the world.
Previously, this title was held by singer Taylor Swift, who has now been surpassed by Lucy Gu, according to Forbes. Gu, who made her fortune through investments in AI technology, co-founded the company “Scale AI” with Alexander Wang in 2016, at the age of 21. Today, Scale AI is valued at $25 billion.
Gu holds a 5% stake in the company, worth approximately $1.2 billion. Additionally, she now leads “Passes,” a platform that allows content creators to retain 90% of their earnings.
While Taylor Swift remains the wealthiest musician globally, she is now ranked second on the list of self-made female billionaires, with a net worth of $1.6 billion.
