In a welcome move, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been reduced at the start of the new year.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued a notification announcing the revised LPG prices effective January 1, 2025.
According to the notification, the price of LPG per kilogram has been reduced by Rs. 4.02, bringing the new price to Rs. 250.28 per kg.
The notification further states that the price of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has decreased by Rs. 47.43, setting the January price at Rs. 2,953.36.
This reduction is expected to provide relief to households relying on LPG for cooking and heating during the winter months.
