Sources report that during the meeting, the Attorney General and other legal experts briefed the cabinet. It was revealed that the provincial government had utilized state resources for the Islamabad march and engaged provincial departments and employees in the protest.
Support for Governor’s Rule
Cabinet members expressed the opinion that the provincial government had provided sufficient grounds for the imposition of Governor’s Rule. A majority of cabinet members supported the decision to impose Governor’s Rule in KP.
Consultation with Political Parties
It was also decided to take political parties outside the cabinet, including the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), into confidence regarding the matter. The initial duration of the Governor’s Rule is expected to be six months, with a final decision anticipated within the next one or two days.
