KARACHI:( The COW News Digital)- A private airline flight from Lahore to Karachi narrowly escaped a major accident on Saturday after it struck a bird.
Renowned Pakistani actor Qaiser Nizamani was among the passengers on board.
The bird strike occurred just as the aircraft, gaining high speed on the take-off point, was about to lift off from the runway at the Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Qaiser Nizamani, who was on the flight along with other passengers, recorded a video at the Lahore airport detailing the incident and shared it on social media.
In his video message, the actor confirmed he was onboard the flight from Lahore to Karachi when a bird collided with the aircraft’s engine.
“By the grace of God, we were saved from a possible accident,” Nizamani said, adding that the pilot acted promptly and sensibly, ensuring the safety of the aircraft.
The actor urged the public not to feed birds near airports and to avoid dumping waste, especially meat and other food items, in surrounding areas.
He warned that birds are drawn to food waste, which can pose serious dangers to aircraft during take-off and landing.
