KP CM Convenes Apex Committee Meeting to Address Kurram Unrest

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has taken a significant step to resolve the ongoing tensions in Kurram district by calling an important meeting of the Provincial Apex Committee.

The meeting, scheduled to be held tomorrow under the Chief Minister’s chairmanship at the CM Secretariat, will focus on the law and order situation in Kurram. The committee will review provincial government efforts to restore peace and address related issues in detail.

Key decisions are expected regarding the provision of essential commodities and basic facilities to the residents of Kurram, alongside measures to ensure long-term peace in the region.

Stakeholders will deliberate on a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable peace. The forum will also be briefed on progress made by the government-formed Grand Jirga, tasked with mediating and resolving local conflicts.

The meeting will be attended by senior civil and military officials, members of the provincial cabinet, and representatives of divisional and district administrations. This collaborative effort underscores the provincial government’s commitment to restoring stability in Kurram district.
