Peshawar( The COW News Digital)Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly defended Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s commitment to remain in Pakistan despite growing speculation about his possible exile. In an exclusive interview with Roznama Jang, Gandapur dismissed rumors suggesting that Imran Khan intends to leave the country, calling such claims baseless attempts to harm the party’s movement.

Gandapur emphasized that Imran Khan has always been clear about his stance, stating, “The founder of PTI has always said that he will not leave Pakistan.” He added that conspiracies and false narratives are being spread with the sole intention of destabilizing the party’s leadership and undermining public confidence.

Highlighting the strong trust Imran Khan places in his team, Gandapur said, “It is Imran Khan who appointed me as Chief Minister; this government carries his mandate and his confidence. I am here because of his faith in me.” He accused opponents of being part of a broader agenda aimed at sabotaging the PTI rather than serving the nation.

On the growing political and security challenges, the KP Chief Minister stressed the importance of dialogue over military operations. “Negotiations must be prioritized to resolve issues,” he said, noting that past military operations have failed to deliver lasting peace.

Gandapur also underlined the necessity of improving relations with Afghanistan, stating, “Our first priority should be to mend ties with Afghanistan and foster cooperation.”

He further warned that without the public’s trust in government institutions, the country cannot achieve victory in its fight against terrorism or political stability. “Success demands confidence between the government, institutions, and the people. Without it, nothing is possible,” he remarked.

Addressing the current security situation, Gandapur noted, “If issues are not openly discussed, minor problems can escalate into severe crises. Until peace is restored, development cannot take place. We will eradicate terrorism with the support and trust of the people.”

As Pakistan faces political turbulence and security threats, Gandapur’s statements reflect PTI’s continued commitment to national unity and stability under Imran Khan’s leadership.
