Case Registration: A case has been registered regarding the kidnapping of Zulfiqar Ahmed, a prominent businessman in Karachi, four days after the incident occurred . The case was registered at the Kalri police station based on the application of Ahmed’s textile mill manager, whose identity has not been disclosed .

Incident Details: Ahmed was kidnapped on July 23 while traveling with his friend Qaiser to Agra Taj Colony. Their vehicle was intercepted by unidentified armed men in a double-cabin vehicle, and they were taken to an undisclosed location. Qaiser was later released, but Ahmed remains missing.

Investigation: The Karachi police have formed two high-powered teams, led by the CIA deputy inspector general and the Zonal DIG, to investigate the incident . The teams are working to trace the whereabouts of Ahmed and identify the kidnappers .

Court Involvement: The Sindh High Court has issued notices to federal and provincial law officers, Sindh’s inspector general of police, and others in response to a petition seeking Ahmed’s recovery . The court has also summoned the SHO of the Kalri police station to appear in person .

Family’s Plea: Ahmed’s family has approached the police and other law enforcement agencies to determine his whereabouts, but none could provide information about his arrest or detention . The family has expressed concerns about Ahmed’s life and has accused authorities of inaction .
