Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has vowed that the sacrifices of those who died in the D-Chowk incident will not go in vain. He spoke about the tragic loss of 12 party workers and more than 100 injuries, and expressed concerns about the missing individuals, fearing many may have been killed.
Speaking at an event in Peshawar, Gandapur stated that the movement for true freedom would continue until justice is served. He also urged the government to address the party’s concerns about the missing persons and clarify the situation surrounding their disappearance.
He further criticized the government for what he called “daily theatrics,” adding that the media was under pressure and failing to cover the issue adequately. He demanded an explanation for the use of force and asked, “Who ordered the firing? Every person responsible must answer.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that the party would not back down until the truth was revealed and those responsible for the deaths and injuries were held accountable. He also addressed ongoing efforts to stir up division within the provinces, claiming these attempts had failed, and criticized those trying to protect ill-gotten wealth at the cost of the nation.
Gandapur concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to remaining in Pakistan, unlike those who, in his view, sought to divide the country for personal gain.
