Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has responded after her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, was attacked with a knife. In a statement issued by her team, Kareena reassured the public that both she and their children are safe and urged fans to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
According to the statement, Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife in the children’s room late last night. The actor tried to apprehend the attacker in self-defense, but the assailant managed to stab him six times, causing deep wounds to his neck and back. Saif is currently hospitalized, and a team of doctors led by neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi performed surgery on him.
Kareena’s team emphasized that the rest of the family members are unharmed and urged the media and fans to refrain from speculation. The police are investigating the incident, and they have already questioned three of Saif’s domestic staff. The Mumbai Crime Branch has also taken over the investigation.
Regarding Kareena’s whereabouts during the attack, Indian media reports that she was not at home at the time. She had been spending the evening with her sister Karisma Kapoor and other friends.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
