The three Pakistani cities have low Cost of Living, Rent, Groceries, Restaurant Price, and Local Purchasing Power Indices compared to other cities globally. Here are the rankings and indices for each city:

  • Karachi: Cost of Living Index (19.0), Rent Index (2.9), combined Cost of Living and Rent Index (11.3), Groceries Index (17.6), Restaurant Price Index (13.1), and Local Purchasing Power Index (28.0)
  • Lahore: Cost of Living Index (19.0), Rent Index (2.9), combined Cost of Living and Rent Index (11.3), Groceries Index (16.3), Restaurant Price Index (15.7), and Local Purchasing Power Index (27.3)
  • Islamabad: Cost of Living Index (21.5), Rent Index (5.3), combined Cost of Living and Rent Index (13.7), Groceries Index (19.5), Restaurant Price Index (14.6), and Local Purchasing Power Index (36.2)

In contrast, Geneva, Zurich, and New York have been ranked as the world’s most expensive cities.
