lahore: Justice Ali Baqar Najafi has taken oath as the Acting Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court. The oath-taking ceremony took place at the Lahore High Court Judges’ Lounge, where Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh administered the oath.
It is worth noting that the current Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Miss Aalia Neelum, is on an overseas trip, and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi will serve as the Acting Chief Justice until her return. This appointment was approved by the President of Pakistan, and the Ministry of Law issued the notification. Justice Ali Baqar Najafi’s appointment has been made under Article 196 of the Constitution.
