Islamabad: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has approved the appointment of 10 additional judges for the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The decision was made during a meeting of the Judicial Commission, chaired by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi at the Supreme Court. The meeting extensively reviewed the appointments before granting final approval.
Official Statement & Approved Names
According to an official statement issued after the meeting, the commission approved the appointment of two district and sessions judges and eight lawyers as additional judges for the Peshawar High Court.
The approved district and sessions judges are:
- Farah Jamshed
- Inamullah Khan
The following eight lawyers have also been appointed:
- Muhammad Tariq Afridi
- Abdul Fayaz
- Sabtullah Khan
- Salahuddin
- Sadiq Ali
- Mudassir Amir
- Muhammad Aurangzeb
- Qazi Jawad Ehsanullah
The appointments aim to strengthen the judiciary and improve case resolution efficiency in the Peshawar High Court.
