Gaza (The COW News Digital)Israeli airstrikes on Gaza continued for a second consecutive day, killing at least 65 more Palestinians, including 14 members of a single family, in what has been described as one of the deadliest 24-hour periods in weeks.

According to Arab media reports, the Israeli military targeted two residential homes and a school located inside the Al-Shati refugee camp, where dozens of displaced families had sought shelter. Both houses were completely destroyed, leaving entire families buried under rubble. Rescue teams and volunteers are still working to retrieve bodies and search for survivors.

The latest attacks have pushed the total death toll in Gaza to 64,756, with more than 164,059 people reported injured since the escalation began. Local hospitals, already operating beyond capacity, are struggling to cope with the influx of casualties as medical supplies and fuel shortages worsen.

Meanwhile, violence has also escalated in the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces conducted a series of overnight raids across multiple towns, including Tulkarm, Hebron, and Jenin, arresting more than 1,500 Palestinians in what human rights groups have condemned as “mass arbitrary detentions.”

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas released a statement strongly condemning the raids, calling them “collective punishment and a blatant violation of international law.” Hamas further claimed that these actions highlight Israel’s growing desperation to maintain control over the occupied territories.

The raids sparked protests across several West Bank cities, where residents clashed with Israeli troops. Witnesses reported live fire and tear gas being used to disperse demonstrators, adding to the already volatile situation.

International organizations, including the United Nations, have once again called for an immediate ceasefire, warning that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is reaching catastrophic levels. Food shortages, lack of clean water, and collapsing health infrastructure have left more than half of Gaza’s population at risk of famine.

Regional leaders have urged urgent diplomatic efforts to end the bloodshed. However, no breakthrough has been achieved, and fears of a wider regional conflict continue to grow.
