Gaza City( The COW News Digital) Israeli air and ground attacks on Gaza have continued with devastating intensity, leaving at least 51 Palestinians dead in the latest wave of strikes, according to international media reports.

The assaults, which began early Tuesday morning, targeted several densely populated areas of the besieged enclave. Among the dead were at least eight civilians waiting for humanitarian aid, highlighting the growing desperation of the population as the conflict drags on.

Witnesses and health officials reported that Israeli forces opened fire near aid distribution centers in Gaza, killing multiple people. The violence also extended to Khan Younis, where tents sheltering displaced families came under attack. At least eight Palestinians were killed in that strike.

In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, four more civilians were confirmed dead after another makeshift shelter was hit. Human rights groups say the repeated targeting of civilian areas and aid seekers raises serious concerns about violations of international humanitarian law.

The Gaza Government Media Office stated that Israel’s nearly two-year-long military campaign has resulted in catastrophic losses. Since the beginning of the war, more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 18,885 children. Officials describe the ongoing assault as nothing short of a “genocidal war,” pointing to the massive civilian toll and the deliberate targeting of non-combat zones.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to halt the bloodshed remain uncertain. The Palestinian group Hamas recently expressed its acceptance of a ceasefire proposal brokered by Qatar and Egypt. However, the Israeli government has yet to issue any official response, leaving the prospect of peace in limbo.

International observers warn that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is worsening daily. Shortages of food, medicine, and shelter have left millions vulnerable, while continued bombardments further strain already overwhelmed hospitals and aid workers.

Global pressure on Israel to accept a ceasefire is mounting, but with no agreement in sight, Gaza’s civilians remain trapped in what many describe as one of the most dire humanitarian disasters in recent history.
