GAZA ( The COW News Digital) A shocking new report by international medical professionals has revealed that Israeli forces are deliberately targeting children in Gaza, with more than 100 documented cases of minors shot in the head or chest.
The report, published in Dutch daily Volkskrant, details testimonies from 17 volunteer doctors who have been working in Gaza since the escalation of hostilities. Fifteen of the doctors confirmed that they treated children under the age of 15 who were shot at close range in critical areas, suggesting intentional targeting rather than random crossfire.
American emergency physician Mimi Saeed told Volkskrant that these were not stray bullets. “This is not crossfire – these are war crimes,” she stated. Saeed personally documented 18 cases of children with fatal or near-fatal gunshot wounds to the head or chest.
Similarly, California-based physician Feroz Sadhwa said that at first, he believed the incidents to be isolated. However, after witnessing multiple children admitted to the same hospital with similar injuries, he concluded that the shootings were systematic. “These are targeted shots meant to hit a child,” he said.
Former Dutch army commander Mart de Kraaf backed the medical testimonies, stating that the pattern of injuries indicates deliberate attacks rather than accidental harm. “These are not mistakes — this is intentional,” he remarked.
A separate British news agency investigation earlier revealed that more than 160 children have been shot by Israeli forces since October 2023, with 95 cases involving direct hits to the head or chest. Most of the victims were under 12 years old.
Medical professionals argue that the nature of the injuries leaves little doubt about the intent behind the shootings. “When you repeatedly see children with the same type of wound in the same locations, it stops being coincidence,” one doctor said.
Human rights organizations are now calling for an independent international investigation into what they describe as potential war crimes. The findings are expected to intensify global pressure on Israel and could be brought before international courts if corroborated by further evidence.
The report has sparked outrage among humanitarian groups, with renewed calls for a ceasefire and greater protection of civilians, especially children, in conflict zones.
