Medical experts report that at least 25 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza this Friday. According to Reuters, the air raids targeted the Gaza Strip, killing at least 25 individuals. Eight of the victims were killed in an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp, while at least ten, including seven children, died in Jabalia.
International media outlets have stated that Israel launched its assault on Gaza following an attack by Hamas-led militants on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis and the capture of more than 250 individuals. Israel claims that approximately 100 hostages are still held, though it remains unclear how many are alive.
Meanwhile, according to foreign media reports, Qatar and Egypt have made progress in resolving some differences between opposing parties, and a ceasefire is expected soon.
In the latest update, Gaza authorities have reported that over 45,000 Palestinians have been killed and 2.3 million displaced as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombardment. The majority of the coastal enclave now lies in ruins.
