Gaza City: Israeli airstrikes on Gaza intensified as fighter jets targeted food distribution trucks and residential areas, resulting in the deaths of 33 Palestinians and injuries to over 40 others.
According to international news agencies, nine aid workers distributing food to Palestinian refugees were killed in one of the strikes. Additionally, a multi-story residential building was bombed, claiming 20 lives, including women and children.
In another attack within Gaza, four more Palestinians lost their lives, bringing the total fatalities in these recent strikes to 33. Among the injured, many are children, with seven reportedly in critical condition receiving treatment in various hospitals.
Since October 7 last year, Israeli bombardment of Gaza has led to nearly 45,000 Palestinian deaths and over 106,000 injuries. Half of the casualties are women and children. The ongoing violence has displaced more than 1.2 million Palestinians, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
The escalating conflict continues to draw global condemnation, as the toll on civilian lives and infrastructure in Gaza mounts.
