Cairo – Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the D-8 Foreign Ministers’ Council meeting.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the current situation in the Middle East. According to a spokesperson, both foreign ministers expressed satisfaction with the state of bilateral relations and agreed to enhance trade and economic cooperation between their countries.
The ministers also emphasized the importance of increasing people-to-people ties and reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestinian issue. They expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people during their discussions.
