Iran’s First Female Pilot, Sheherzad Shams, Makes History

Tehran – Sheherzad Shams, Iran’s first female commercial pilot, has made history by piloting an all-women flight. The flight, operated by Aseman Airlines, carried 110 female passengers and was staffed entirely by women. It successfully landed in the city of Mashhad.

According to Iranian media, Captain Sheherzad Shams, who is honored as Iran’s first female commercial pilot, led the historic flight, dubbed “Iran Lady” (Iran Bano).

This milestone was achieved on the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated in Iran in honor of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (RA).
