TEHRAN ( The COW News Digital) Iran has called on Muslim countries to establish a joint operations room against Israel, urging the Islamic world to move beyond speeches and take concrete steps to counter what it described as Tel Aviv’s aggressive policies.

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the statement on Monday, emphasizing that mere condemnations and conferences have failed to change Israel’s behavior or alleviate Palestinian suffering.

“Words alone do not stop bombs,” Larijani said. “Without practical steps, any support for the oppressed people of Palestine will remain ineffective.”

He warned that Israel’s actions are not just a threat to Palestinians but to regional stability as a whole. According to Larijani, Muslim nations must coordinate a unified strategy to defend themselves and deter Israel from what he called “genocidal policies.”

The proposal to create a joint operations room is aimed at increasing military and intelligence cooperation among Muslim states. Larijani suggested that such coordination would “shake the confidence of Israel’s sponsors” and compel Tel Aviv to reconsider its actions.

“The time has come for Muslim countries to adopt a proactive approach,” Larijani stressed. “A joint operations mechanism will provide a strategic framework not just for Palestine but also for safeguarding the sovereignty and security of all Muslim nations.”

This call comes amid escalating violence in Gaza, where hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in recent weeks, and amid growing anger in the Muslim world over what is seen as inaction by global powers.

Analysts say Iran’s proposal could put pressure on regional powers such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan to respond. However, forming such a coalition may face political and logistical challenges, as several Muslim-majority countries maintain ties with Israel or rely on Western military alliances.

Despite these hurdles, Larijani’s statement reflects Iran’s push to lead a united Muslim front against Israel. It is expected that the proposal will be discussed at upcoming summits of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other regional forums.

Diplomatic observers note that while Iran’s call is likely to gain support from groups aligned with its policies, the reaction from Arab states remains uncertain. Whether this proposal leads to a coordinated regional strategy or remains a political message will depend on the willingness of Muslim states to act collectively.
