Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has clarified that he did not attend any anti-China event during his visit to the United States, refuting claims of involvement in such activities. Speaking to the media in Houston, Naqvi stated that his participation in a youth event had been misrepresented, but emphasized that he had not engaged in any anti-China gatherings. He dismissed the propaganda surrounding the matter, asserting that it would not have any impact on his mission.
The Minister made it clear that the primary objective of his visit was to formulate an effective strategy against terrorism. He stressed that terrorism is not just Pakistan’s battle but a global fight, and vowed to tackle those who raise arms against Pakistan with an iron hand.
Naqvi explained that his meetings with US politicians were focused on building a united approach against terrorism. He expressed concerns about certain members of the US House of Representatives inciting anti-Pakistan sentiments, noting that politics should not go so far as to harm the interests of Pakistan.
He described the discussions with Congress members as productive and stated that the talks aimed at further strengthening the relationship between the two nations. Naqvi also highlighted the importance of global cooperation in addressing Pakistan’s issues, stressing that international support is crucial for finding lasting solutions.
