Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has called for holding the masterminds of the May 9 events accountable, following the convictions of those directly involved.
During a press conference, the minister accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan of orchestrating the violence. “May 9 was a planned conspiracy by Imran Khan,” Tarar stated, emphasizing that the perpetrators have been sentenced based on concrete evidence.
The minister highlighted that the attacks on May 9 were carried out with deliberate planning. “Today is a significant day as those who attacked defense installations have been punished,” he remarked, adding that these actions were a direct assault on national institutions, with Imran Khan acting as their spokesperson.
Tarar reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring accountability for all involved in the violent incidents, including those who orchestrated and facilitated the attacks.
