In a significant development, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane utilized Pakistani airspace during his return journey from Poland to Delhi on Saturday morning. The Air India aircraft entered Pakistani airspace at 10:15 am and remained within the country’s borders for 46 minutes.
The plane flew over Chitral and then passed through the air control zones of Islamabad and Lahore before exiting Pakistani airspace into India over Amritsar at 11:01 am. Civil aviation authorities confirmed that the flight was closely monitored as it crossed key regions of Pakistan.
This move is seen as a positive gesture between the two nations, as Pakistan had previously denied permission for Indian flights to use its airspace. The development comes amid ongoing efforts to improve relations between India and Pakistan.
