In a televised national address, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a stern warning to India, declaring that India’s act of aggression will bear consequences and that Pakistan will hold it accountable for every drop of blood shed.
Referring to the previous night’s events, the Prime Minister stated:
“India made a grave mistake by launching an attack. Their aggression will not go unanswered.”
He confirmed that Pakistan Air Force responded forcefully, destroying five Indian warplanes, including three Rafale jets, in what he described as a “decisive and humiliating blow” to India’s pride.
Paying tribute to the victims of the Indian strikes, PM Sharif revealed that 26 Pakistani civilians were martyred, including a seven-year-old child who was killed at home.
“We have just offered funeral prayers for a child who should have been playing in the safety of his home. We vow to seek justice for each drop of our martyrs’ blood,” he declared emotionally.
Praising the Pakistan Armed Forces, the Prime Minister highlighted their swift and professional retaliation along the Line of Control, stating that the enemy was “shattered in less than an hour of combat.”
“We salute our forces who displayed exceptional bravery and professionalism. They tore through the enemy’s pride.”
He congratulated the chiefs of Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force, reaffirming that the nation of 240 million stands united and proud of its defenders.
Addressing the origins of the conflict, PM Sharif dismissed India’s justification of the attack based on the Pahalgam incident, calling it baseless and unverified.
“We offered to cooperate in an investigation, but India rejected peace and chose aggression. The world must recognize that any unilateral actions by India will not change the ground reality—Kashmir remains a disputed territory, and the people of Kashmir deserve their right to self-determination in line with UN resolutions.”
The Prime Minister concluded by calling for national unity and resilience, assuring that Pakistan is capable and determined to defend its sovereignty at any cost.
