Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused India of arming banned militant groups—the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA)—in a bid to fuel terrorism across Pakistan.
Speaking on Geo News’ prime-time program Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath, Asif claimed that credible intelligence has confirmed India’s involvement in supplying arms and support to these outlawed organizations, with the aim of spreading chaos in Punjab, Sindh, and other regions.
Asif questioned the authenticity of the group allegedly behind the recent Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, stating, “The organization being named in connection with the Pahalgam incident is completely unknown—just like the dummy outfits cited after incidents such as Pulwama and the killings of Sikhs.”
He further alleged that these are not actions of independent terror outfits, but operations orchestrated by Indian intelligence operatives themselves. He warned that Pakistan remains on high alert from Karachi to Gilgit in light of potential threats.
In a separate interview with British media, Khawaja Asif cautioned that Pakistan would deliver a “crushing response” to any Indian military adventurism. He emphasized that global powers should be concerned about the increasing tensions between two nuclear-armed neighbors.
“The consequences of a conflict between Pakistan and India would be catastrophic,” said Asif, adding that Pakistan is prepared to respond forcefully to any hostile move by India.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also addressed the situation on the same television program. He challenged India to present any concrete evidence it may have regarding the Pahalgam incident.
“We’re ready to examine any evidence with an open mind,” Dar stated. He also pointed out that Pakistan possesses substantial evidence of Indian intelligence agency RAW’s interference in Balochistan.
Dar underscored Pakistan’s readiness on diplomatic, political, and military fronts, stating that measures have already been taken in response to Indian provocations. “If India dares to pursue any aggressive adventure, our armed forces are fully prepared. It would be wise for India to avoid such miscalculations,” he added.
