Imran Khan Was Willing to Hold Sit-in at Sangjani, But Bushra Bibi Objected: KP Spokesperson
Barrister Saif, spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, has revealed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan had agreed to hold a sit-in at Sangjani. However, his wife and former first lady, Bushra Bibi, reportedly objected to the decision.
According to Barrister Saif, Imran Khan had expressed his willingness to proceed with a demonstration at Sangjani and had approved the proposed location. However, Bushra Bibi refused to accept the change in location, insisting that the protest must take place at D-Chowk. Saif described her as playing a prominent leadership role in this decision.
This revelation follows an earlier statement from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who alleged that a “hidden hand” is orchestrating PTI’s actions behind the scenes. Naqvi claimed that this covert influence is the root cause of the unrest, stating, “This secret hand outweighs all and has entirely different intentions.”
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the Interior Minister added that PTI leadership appeared willing to engage in dialogue, but the “hidden hand” continued to dictate the party’s actions.
These developments shed new light on the internal dynamics of PTI’s protest strategies and the alleged external influences shaping the political landscape.
