Imran Khan, the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has warned of nationwide protests if the government attempts to extend the tenure of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa or fails to implement the decision on reserved seats. Khan criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to restore the membership of three PML-N lawmakers and alleged that efforts are being made to deprive PTI of its seats.

Khan claimed that the Chief Justice and the Election Commission are working together, supported by the military, to suppress opposition parties. He compared the situation in Pakistan to Bangladesh, where the opposition has been suppressed.

The PTI leadership has also announced plans to file an appeal against the Supreme Court’s decision to restore the membership of three PML-N lawmakers. They have criticized the decision, saying it is an attempt to reduce PTI’s seats.
