In a media interaction at the Peshawar High Court, Omar Ayub stated that the hearing in the Al-Qadir Trust case, involving the founder of PTI, continued until late yesterday. He questioned why the hearing lasted so long, with the court’s session going on until 3 or 4 PM.
The opposition leader also pointed out that PTI workers are being kept in prisons for longer than necessary, but emphasized that they are not afraid of anyone.
Omar Ayub further mentioned that the negotiation committee has been formed by the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, but it seems the government is not interested in talks. He clarified that PTI has not approached anyone for negotiations, and if anyone is interested in negotiations, they are welcome to proceed, but otherwise, they are not compelled to initiate talks.
Recently, there have been reports of ongoing discussions between the government and PTI regarding negotiations, but no formal confirmation of these talks has been made yet.
