Bangladesh Ends 100% Physical Inspection Requirement for Goods from Pakistan
Bangladesh has lifted the condition of 100% physical inspection for goods arriving from Pakistan.
Additionally, the special security desk at Dhaka Airport designated for screening Pakistani passengers and the requirement for additional clearance for Pakistani visa applicants have also been abolished.
This development follows a meeting between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, during the D-8 Summit. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the recent positive developments in bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also held a meeting with the President of Indonesia, during which he stated that with Indonesia’s support and cooperation, Pakistan aims to become a full dialogue partner of the regional forum ASEAN
