An IMF Scope Mission has been currently visiting Pakistan to assess the existing governance mechanism and recommend the government to overhaul its system.

The scope mission has arrived in Islamabad on Feb 6 and will stay here for almost two weeks.

The IMF review mission is expected to come to Islamabad probably after Feb 20 for holding talks for the first review under the 7 billion dollars Extended Fund Facility.

The Scope Mission will assess the taxation issues, rationalization of expenditures of ministries, money laundering and rule of law in the country.
