IHC upholds decision of returning 2 billion customers collected private mobile network

ISLAMABAD, (News Desk): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while dismissing petition of mobile network operator against PTA order has upheld order of returning over Rs 2 billion to customers by private mobile network.

Private mobile network had received this amount from the customers.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of IHC dismissed petition of the company declaring it non maintainable.

IHC said in its decision Supreme Court while taking suo motu notice on June 11, 2018 had stopped companies for collecting charges on recharge of mobile.

The decision further said According to appellant company
it stopped receiving charges from June 13, 2018 after Supreme court order.

According to appellant counsel Supreme court ended stay order in its short decision of wrapping up the case on April 24, 2019.
